Saturday Morning Brunch

Saturday brunch with my kids was a perfect splash of sunshine on this rainy day! Having a full house makes this momma happy and filling their tummies with their brunch food favorites always makes me smile. My husband grew up loving bagels from Bagel fair and they are still a must with their salmon spread and scallion cream cheese. He loves telling us how he stopped there on his way to high school every morning to get a warm bagel oozing with cream cheese. The conversations bounced from topic to topic and everyones chatter and point of view adds to the perfect brunch and the closeness of our family.

I just love adding new pieces to update my table for a new season. Flowers and birds and bright colors speak to me so I just had to grab these adorable bird plates while shopping at Giant Eagles Market District this morning. I always look through their kitchen and gift section that is always stocked with fun things that I just have to have! Here are some other plates that I love that would be perfect to add to your table for your next family brunch.

Bring the beauty of a springtime garden to your table with this set of Garden Floral appetizer plates from Sur La Table. They are made of durable, microwave-safe earthenware and feature  bright watercolor motifs.

Leafy watercolor herbs grace the center of these gorgeous plates that remind me of the herbs I planted yesterday. Vivid watercolor images of sage, parsley, basil and oregano enliven this set of earthenware plates from Crate and Barrel that scream spring!

Fanciful, festive and inspired by Chinese porcelain,  hand-finished salad plates from Willams Sonoma come in eye-catching colors. Each gold-rimmed porcelain piece features a unique design embellished with flora and fauna, including multicolored butterflies which scream Spring!

We eat a lot of fresh berries at our house and these ceramic berry basketss are perfect to display them on the table or in the fridge. Shop the links below to find them in several colors and sizes.
