I can’t believe that it is almost March 1st! This year is flying by, and although I don’t want it to go too fast, I am looking forward to spring, the thought of flowers popping up and being able to put my heavy winter coats away until next year! But let’s be real, living in Indiana means lots of spring showers and still chilly temps, so a great raincoat is a staple for me! Rain boots are also a great way to transition from winter to spring. They can be so fashionably paired with a cute pair of socks and a great pair of jeans. There are so many great options and I’ve gathered a few of my favorites to help you pick the perfect ones for your lifestyle!
RAINCOATS
The Lulu Lemon Rebel Rain Jacket is perfect to shake off wet weather after a workout or just for a casual look. I am also in love with their new Pack & Glide jacket. You will be prepared through any weather in this jacket. It’s what you need for adventures with light element protection and a packable travel pillow for naps. I am a big fan of coats that work after a workout as well as with other casual outfits, and both of these fit both categories!
I also love the choices from Anthropologie. In a cheerful yellow hue, the Chesterton trench coat from Scotch & Soda will chase away rainy days. Yellow just makes me happy and so does staying dry!
Nothing is more timeless than a camel-colored trench coat. This piped version from Anthropologie gives the classic style a modern twist and touch of color. The blue piping adds the perfect touch!
Amazon has a few great choices as well. The Farvalue women’s double-breasted belted petite lapel trench coat is slim-fitting jacket and one that you’ll find yourself grabbing all the time. If khaki isn’t your color, it also comes in several other beautiful colors. I am always a sucker for navy!
Love me a green jacket! This Mac Trench from Ann Taylor just says spring! Made in stretch cotton twill, it’s tailored and sets the tone for the season in a clean, streamlined silhouette! Green makes me think of grass and all things blooming in spring!
RAIN BOOTS
I remember jumping through puddles as a child and I find myself still wanting to stomp through them some days as an adult. With the right pair of rain boots, that is possible and oh, what a great stress reliever!
Sam Edelman is a favorite of mine and their women’s Tinsley Rain Boots from Amazon are sleek and can go with any outfit.
Nordstrom has so many options to choose from. Jeffrey Campbell’s Cloudy Waterproof Chelsea Rain Boot is cut from faux leather and is lifted by a platform & lugged sole so you can take on wet weather feeling oh so stylish! I love the idea pairing these with a slim skirt and a leather jacket. They are so versatile and comfortable!
Tall Hunter boots have been a staple in my closet ever since my daughter rode horses. We were often walking through the rain during shows and they were a must for me to stay dry and clean! The adjustable back is great for those of us that like them more fitted.
While lightweight and waterproof, their short height and Original Play Waterproof Rain Bootie versions are so cute and they come in lots of fun colors to elevate your outfit.
Hunter also offers a darling leopard print!
The Cougar Kensington Chelsea Rain Boot is another great choice from Nordstrom and it comes in several colors to fit your needs!
Be totally prepared to dance in the rain!
